Join your colleagues from across the state for a powerful day of advocacy and connection at the Iowa Capitol. Physician Day on the Hill is your opportunity to engage directly with lawmakers, share your expertise, and ensure that Iowa’s physicians have a strong, unified voice in shaping the future of health care.

This is the most impactful day of the year to make your voice heard, whether it’s your first time at the Capitol or you’ve been advocating for years. Together, we can influence policy decisions that affect your patients, your practice, and the future of medicine in Iowa.

Morning Program

Join us at IMS Headquarters in the morning to gain insight into the current political landscape at the Capitol building and engage in a panel discussion with lawmakers.  The Iowa Medical Society provides lunch for all attendees.  Full agenda below.

11:55 AM - Legislative update and Q & A with IMS Director of Government Relations, Seth Brown, JD and contract lobbyists Kate Walton and Matt Eide, JD

12:40 PM - Lawmaker Panel Discussion moderated by Seth Brown, JD

1:30 PM - Depart to walk/drive to Capitol building

Capitol Engagement

After the morning program, join your colleagues at the State Capitol to meet with legislators, share your experiences, and advocate for meaningful change. The Iowa Medical Society team will guide attendees through the process, ensuring you feel confident and prepared for your discussions.
